Scooter & Beetle waren op 2 en 3 september 2006 bij de eerste officiële Australian Shepherd Club of America agility trials in Europa, georganiseerd door de Versatility Australian Shepherd Club in het Duitse Tier. Hier vielen officiële Amerikaanse ASCA behendigheidstitels te verdienen.

Scooter & Beetle took part in the first official Australian Shepherd Club of America agility trials on September 2nd and 3rd 2006, organized by the Versatility Australian Shepherd Club in Trier, Germany. At this trials, official American ASCA agility titles could be earned.

Beetle haalde zijn Jumpers Standard-Novice oftewel JS-N titel door twee foutloze jumpings te lopen.

Beetle won his Jumpers Standard-Novice or JS-N title by finishing two clear jumping rounds.

Scooter (bijna negen) haalde legs voor zijn Jumpers Veterans-Novice en Regular Veterans-Novice titel met een foutloos jumpingrondje en een foutloos vast parcours.

Scooter (almost nine) won legs for his Jumpers Veteran-Novice and Regular Veteran-Novice title with a clear run jumping round and one clear standard course.

Kattenloop. Leuk detail: gemiste raakvlakken omhoog tellen niet in de Amerikaanse ASCA agility. Raakvlakken af wel, en goed ook :-)

Dog walk. Nice detail: contact zones up don't count in American ASCA agility. The ones down DO count however and can cost you a lot of points...

Wachten, Beetle, WACHTEN!!!

Alleen poot op het raakvlak van de wip is bij de American style beslist niet voldoende - als de wip ook nog maar een beetje in de lucht is als de hond eraf komt heb je al heel snel een 'flyer' en een diskwalificiatie aan je broek.

Wait, Beetle, WAIT!!!

One paw on the contact zone of the see-saw is not enough in agility American style - when the see-saw is still even a bit in the air when the dogs comes off, you easily get a 'flyer' and disqualification.

...En ook bij Scooter moet iedereen in Trier het commando hebben gehoord: WACHTEN!!!

...And I am sure that everybody in Trier heard what I told Scooter here: WAIT!!!

...Welke idioot legt die tunnel nou zo naast de schutting? Zo ben ik nooit op tijd bij het raakvlak! :-)

Hey, which idiot put that tunnel overhere? This way I will never make it to the contact zone in time! :-)

Scooter: Oeps, remmen, eerst even kijken of Henrie niet aan de andere kant van de schutting staat. (Sinds zijn trainer Henrie Scooter een keer vriendelijk doch zeer beslist teruggeplant heeft op de schutting omdat Scooter er steeds van bovenaf afsprong, kijkt Scooter eerst altijd even voorzichtig over het dakje of Henrie er niet staat :-))

Scooter: Oops, let's first look to see if Henrie is waiting for me on the other side. (Since his trainer Henrie put Scooter back on the A-frame in a friendly but very definite way because Scooter always jumped down from the top, Scooter now always first takes a careful look over the top of the A to see if Henrie is there or not :-))

Weigeringen kennen ze in de Amerikaanse agility bijna niet. Als de insteek van de paaltjes niet vloeiend gaat of je de hond schiet er halverwege de slalom uit, moet je overnieuw beginnen. Keer op keer als het moet, maar dat kost natuurlijk wel een berg tijd...

They hardly know refusals in the American agility. When you don't enter the weave poles correctly or the dog doesn't take the poles fluently enough, you have to do them again, try after try. This costs you lots of time of course..

Parcours afgewerkt. Judith kan aan de zuurstof, Scooter wil nog wel een keer.

Course finished. Judith needs oxygen, Scooter would like another try.
